In late June of 2014, Lazarus Fish arrived at O’Hare International Airport for a three-month trip to the US. He was accompanied by his daughter Rachel. The primary purpose of the trip was two-fold: to enroll Rachel in college; and to visit supporters of the MACM ministry.

During the second half of the trip, they stayed with members of West Side Christian Church in Springfield, IL (William & Cherrilyn Mayfield). Lazarus is very grateful for the generosity and hospitality of his US hosts.

While in Springfield, IL, Lazarus and Rachel enjoyed visiting the Illinois State Fair and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum.

In mid-August, after much prayer for God’s leading and with assistance from Broadway Christian’s outreach minister Craig Yates, Rachel was accepted and enrolled as a freshman in Cincinnati Christian University in Cincinnati, Ohio. There she was welcomed by her wonderful roommate Naomi.

In mid-September, Lazarus journeyed to Moberly, Missouri, where he spent four days with his son Paul, who is a senior at Central Christian College of the Bible. He also spoke to the students in chapel while at the college. Paul will be graduated from CCCB in May of 2015 and Lazarus and Acha are planning to return to the US for his graduation.

While in the US, Lazarus was able to purchase some much-needed replacement equipment for the MACM recording studio (DW drum set, Alesis HD24 multiple track recorder; and Epson video projector) so that recording can resume in November.

Lazarus and all his luggage returned safely to Yangon on September 29th where he was welcomed home by his family as well as faculty and students of YCCS.
