Visitation to the supporting        churches and updates
June 2018

Dear brothers and sisters from the supporting churches, Sunday school classes and individuals,

Greetings to you again from Lazarus and Acha on behalf of MACM workers in Myanmar and China. By the grace of God, Lazarus and Elizabeth arrived in the States on May 2nd. We joined Rachel’s graduation from Cincinnati Christian University May 5th. The reception of Rachel was held at Broadway Christian Church in Lexington on May 6th. We stayed in Lexington from May 2nd through 6th and traveled to Springfield, Illinois on May 7th with a Honda Vehicle provided for free by one of the churches elders from Broadway Christian Church. Thanks to Craig for the arrangement.

The second reception for Rachel and the Fish family was held at Lake Springfield Christian Assembly in Springfield on May 8th. We are so grateful to the MACM USA board for hosting the reception for us. We stayed at a hotel in the Springfield for three days and on May 10th, we moved to the campus apartment provided by Lincoln Christian University. On May 13rd, Warren and Lazarus with Rachel and Elizabeth visited Loami Christian Church. Warren did mission presentation and Lazarus preached at the service. Lazarus with the two daughters and visited LeRoy Christian Church on May 14th meeting with Jeff Mayfield, the minister and updated on MACM mission works. The next day on May 15th, we traveled to Trinity Christian College and did a campus tour for Elizabeth. By the grace of God, she will be able to study at the college majoring in biology starting at this Fall.

On May 16th, we met Warren and Eric discussing on possibility of the gospel concert to be held in Myanmar in January 2019. On May 17th, we visited Dr Nicolay, the former chairman of MACM and felt very happy to see him again. On the same day at 6:00 pm, we met a missions group from Rochester Christian Church. On May 20th, we visited Elkhart Christian Church and enjoyed the fellowship with the Church. On May 21st, we traveled to Texas and visited the Lisu refugees from May 21st through 23rd. We had a fellowship meeting on May 23rd. We returned back to Lincoln on May 24th and on the way, we spent the night with Paul Fish, my only son who works at Milan Christian Church as youth minister. He will be working at the Church till May 2019 for three years and then going for Master program in August, 2019. The experiences he earned from the youth ministry at the Church will be useful back in Myanmar.

On May 27th, we made an update at Heyworth Christian Church and enjoyed the fellowship with the Church. May 29th, Rob and Lazarus met Dr. Wells, the academic Dean of LCU and the next day on May 30th, Lazarus met Dr. Laughlin at 9:00 am and then met Dr. Don Green, the president of LCU at 1:00 pm and discussed with them about Joseph Fish’s further study at LCU. Joseph is the next person to Peham Dakum who graduated from LCU on May 5th in the Doctor of Ministry. He is back in Myanmar teaching classes at YCCS. On May 31st, we visited Central Christian College of the Bible and met Dr. David Fincher, the president of CCCB. We discussed on possibility of bringing some top students from YCCS for training at the college. CCCB will offer free tuitions, plus 20 hours on campus job and full-time job in the summer. One of the top YCCS students, Yaw Shu is coming to the college at the Spring, 2019. On June 3rd, Lazarus preached at Living Hope Christian Church at 10:00 am and met Derrick Ritchie, the minister and elders from Tower Hill Christian Church at 6:00 pm and talked about helping Joseph in his needs at LCU. On June 3rd, we traveled and visited the Lisu refugees in Denver, Colorado from May 4th through 6th. We have fellowship meeting on May 6th night as well as a tour to different tourist sites around Denver. We arrived back to Lincoln on May 7th.

Finally, we want to give you a short update in Myanmar. The Chinese language training program was successfully concluded on 26th. 118 students attended the program from March-May. The closing ceremony was held on May 26th. tYCCS started its 2018-19 academic year on June 4th with 47 students and 8 teachers. Also The 2018 training program at the China border training center was also started on June 4th with 112 students and 7 teachers. The Tanai Bible training school (TBTS) will be started in September after the CBTC training program is completed. Isaiah, Seth, and Di Di will continue to teach at TBTS. Titus Bee from the Shan state mission conducted summer Bible training program in Mai Bin, in northeastern Shan state. Deborah also participated in teaching at the summer Bible training programs held in northern Myanmar.

Dear brothers and sister, we are so grateful to you for your partnership with us in His service throughout these years. Thank you so much for your prayers. To this point, we have already visited some churches in Illinois and very excited to visit the rest supporting churches very soon and meeting with you.

In the third year, they have to study the Bible in Chinese and preaching in Chinese as well. The Chinese language training students are all Lisu and here singing in Chinese language with Lisu costume.

 

MACM helps recruit students from Myanmar. As reported to you before, the Chinese helped built two buildings for CBTC.

Titus Bee, our mission director in the northeast Shan state conducted summer youth camp in Mai Bin township. The youth camp program was supported by the music ministry and enabling the youth taking part in the activities.
